Hey everyone!
In order to avoid flying 19 hrs in one day, we spent a night in San Francisco and will be flying to New Zealand tonight!! Yesterday we walked around downtown San Francisco; didnt really make it to any of the major attraction sites, but got eat some delicious food at Lori's Dinner and got to see the cable cars. We got a little of track and because we were too cheap to pay for the cable cars and had to follow the tracks back to where we had to be... It was an adventure to say the least. I am looking forward to meeting the other students in the program, the 13 hr flight on a double decker airplane and our arrival in New Zealand.

First day in NZ!
ReplyDeleteThe 12 hours flight actually went surprisingly fast thanks to the large movie and tv selection as well as the complimentary alcohol, which I was the only one carded for, because the flight attendant did not even believe that I was 18(the drinking age in NZ).
What I have seen of NZ so far has been beautiful.On one side of our campus there are rolling hills and farms and on the other, the beach with mountains in the distance. It is hot and we are all burnt already. Today we just went through a tour of campus and the surrounding town as well as the regional parks where we can go on hiking trips.
I am staying in a really cute cabin with one other girl and right outside there is a banana tree and a plum tree for our enjoyment.
So far I am having a great time, ill post again when I can, although I dont think ill be able to post pictures because we can only use up so much space of what the campus has...not really sure what the deal is with that.
Stephh I miss you so much!! Im so glad you and elise made a blog though so I can live vicariously through you guys haha Hope your having such a great time :)
